I integrated Bicon into Fedora 13 or later last week.
Bicon is a bidirectional consol and you can show RTL strings (likes Arabic) on terminal.

Bicon is available with yum.

# yum install bicon

The usage is easy. You can invoke ‘bicon’ command on gnome-terminal and choose a RTL keyboard layout.
The screen shot shows an Arabic string is arranged with RTL using bicon

Great! I’ve used it a little and while it has some problems in RTL typing, it’s good. I wonder why this is not integrated into “an appropriate” layer (I’m still thinking where it should be integrated!).
